Rakim's new single, "Be Ill" is finally here! "Be Ill" is the lead single from God's Network, Ra's first new album in 15 years, and features Kurupt and Masta Killa. Rakim produced the track and performed the cuts and scratches, as he did with the seven songs that comprise the highly anticipated album.

Rakim is no stranger to production, and in an interview with King Crooked he revealed that he produced much of the music in his catalog. "I think 80 percent of the catalog I produced," he said. "Comin' up it looked good for the group if people thought that Eric B did the beats, and I was doin' the rhymes, so I never said nothin'".

Ra released the track listing for God's Network on yesterday (6/20). He mentioned new upcoming projects, and the desire to release new music in a recent exclusive interview with Rock The Bells. "Right now I'm working on a couple of projects," he revealed. "I'm working on an album and some solo projects on the side. I'm actually taking a lot of time from touring this year to do some studio work. I have a lot I wanna say, and I wanna get back into the studio and express myself."
