LeBron James Picks These Two Nas and Jay-Z Albums as His All-Time Favorites

LeBron James, a noted Hip-Hop head, was asked the inevitable question — what's your favorite rap album of all time? It's not surprising that his favorite albums are from Nas and Jay-Z. But which ones?

“Favorite album of all time? Oh my goodness, wow,” LeBron said in a video response uploaded to Twitter from NBATV. “I can only have one album, that’s almost impossible.”

Although he said it's "impossible" to choose, he eventually got down to business: "It Was Written by Nas and The Black Album, Jay-Z,” he said.

James has long made his adoration for Jay apparent. Earlier this year, the NBA legend and Roc Nation affiliate sang the praises of Jay-Z's "God Did" verse, which was the subject of much chit-chat when DJ Khaled's album was released in late August. James was blown away by MSNBC's Ari Melber's breakdown of the verse on his show The Beat. "Listen! Then listen again to make sure you got the point. HOV DID!!!!!! And so did the reporter! [GOAT] TALK," LeBron tweeted.

He's also been known to quote Nas lyrics when appropriate, like back in May when he summarized his feelings after the Lakers failed to make it to the postseason with a lyric from "Hate Me Now."

At any rate, The Black Album, though often overshadowed by Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint is certainly among Jay's best, as is Nas' It Was Written, though it hovered in the shadow of his landmark debut, Illmatic.
