Jay-Z showed up to support his mom-in-law at the Wearable Art Gala on Saturday (Oct. 22). The event was the five-year celebration of the WACO Theater Center, founded by co-artistic directors Tina Knowles-Lawson and Richard Lawson.

Of course, Beyoncé was in attendance as was Jay and Bey's daughter, Blue Ivy. Destiny's Child members Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland were also on hand for the event, which was hosted by Keke Palmer. Academy Award-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o presented Angela Bassett with the Film & TV Icon Award.

Per Billboard, "the benefit, which is inspired by the aesthetics and Black excellence of the Harlem Renaissance era, aims to support the company’s artistic and youth mentorship programs through a fine art auction."

In other Jay-Z Hollywood news, he's set to produce a new film from The Harder They Fall director Jeymes Samuel called The Book of Clarence starring LaKeith Stanfield and Omar Sy. The Wrap reports that details about the film are scarce but Samuel will write, direct, produce and compose for the film which will be co-produced by James Lassiter and Tendo Nagenda. This is the second time that Lassiter, Jay-Z and Samuel have collaborated following the 2021 release of The Harder They Fall.
