Jay-Z Replies to LeBron James' Praise of Ari Melber's "God Did" Breakdown

Jay-Z's verse on DJ Khaled's new song "God Did" has been talked about, dissected, and talked about some more since it dropped last week. Now, NBA legend and Roc Nation affiliate LeBron James has chimed into the convo, after being blown away by MSNBC's Ari Melber's breakdown of the verse on his show The Beat.

"Listen! Then listen again to make sure you got the point. HOV DID!!!!!! And so did the reporter! [GOAT] TALK," LeBron tweeted.

Jay, who rarely tweets, caught wind of LeBron's praise, and replied, “My only goal is to make the real ‘ones’ feel seen, forgive me that’s my passion talking … haa.”

In the segment, Melber, who spoke at Roc Nation's Social Justice Summit earlier this year, discusses American corruption in light of bipartisan calls for reform of the deeply racist "war on drugs," kickstarted during Richard Nixon's time in office. Melber then links a 1996 conversation between Louis Farrakhan and reporter Mike Wallace about American corruption and moral posturing and examines the conversation against Jay's verse.

Take a look at the breakdown and listen to Jay's verse below.
