Jay-Z is set to host a a 007-themed party in Atlantic City this month to raise funds for his Reform Alliance, according to Page Six.
The all-black party will include A-list guests like Tom Brady, Kim Kardashian, Beyoncé and more, with Kevin Hart set to host the Casino Royale event. The party will take place on Sept. 30 at the Ocean Casino Resort, and is being hosted with the Reform Alliance board, which includes Robert Kraft, Meek Mill and Michael Rubin.
Reform Alliance aims to "transform probation and parole by changing laws, systems and culture to create real pathways to work and wellbeing." More specifically, the organization is "working to move people from the justice system into stability."
In October 2020, REFORM celebrated a significant legislative triumph when California passed AB 1950, the nation's most groundbreaking probation law. REFORM championed this legislation, aiming to limit probation and parole durations to 1-2 years for the majority of offenses. Their advocacy efforts resulted in over 3,500 emails sent by Californians to their representatives and Governor Gavin Newsom. As a result of AB 1950, hundreds of thousands of individuals on probation in California now have a greater opportunity to thrive and permanently leave the criminal justice system behind.
