Jay-Z Producing Adaptation of the 'Irredeemable' Graphic Novel for Netflix

Entertainment mogul Jay-Z is set to reunite with director Jeymes Samuel (the pair worked together on the critically acclaimed The Harder They Fall) for a live screen adaptation of the Boom Studios’ graphic novel Irredeemable and Incorruptible its spin off according to Deadline. Kemp Powers who has scripted Soul And Spiderman: Across The Spider-Verse will be handling the script. Fans can expect this adaptation to feature the main characters from both of the Mark Waid created series.

 

Waid shared with Deadline that he and Irredeemable illustrator Peter Krause were “thrilled to death” by the talent in the adaptation. “Their unique take on the comic makes it unlike any anti-hero story I’ve ever heard, and I love it,“ said Waid. In 2020 Boom Studios announced its first look deal with Netflix. “We generate 20+ new original series a year and are thrilled to partner with a company as prolific as we are," said Boom founder Ross Ritchie.
