Ice-T took a minute to catch the stage play adaptation of the 1991 Mario Van Peebles' classic film, New Jack City, and praised the performances.
The stage adaptation, which began its run in late October, stars Allen Payne, who reprised his role from the film, as "Gee Money," Treach as "Nino Brown," Big Daddy Kane as "Stone" and actor Flex Alexander as "Pookie."
Ice-T who played detective Scotty Appleton in the film was impressed with the stage version and said he "really, really enjoyed it." "There were so many classic scenes," he told the cast backstage, including Payne. "It was fly."
