Ice Cube Announces New Solo Album 'Man Down'

Ice Cube says he has a new solo album on the way, and in an interview with RAPstation, suggested it could possibly arrive soon.

"I'm working on an album that hopefully I can finish in next couple of weeks and schedule to put it out and yeah, I'm digging what I'm doing," he said. "The name of the record is called Man Downand, you know, it's a pretty good record. It like it. It's dope."

While this would be his first solo project since 2018's Everything's Corrupt, Cube did release a studio album last year with super group Mount Westmore, which also consists of E-40, Too $hort, and Snoop Dogg.

In a 2022 interview with LL COOL J on Rock The Bells Radio, Cube spoke about the importance of remaining true to your creativity as an artist.

"As I've grown older I understand we're artists," Ice Cube said. "When you're an artist, who gives a fuck what people think? You paint your picture, you put it on the wall, and you walk the fuck away and do your next picture. And let people walk by it, and say 'That's bullshit,' or 'I love it.' But it don't matter because you're doing the next one anyway."

No official word yet on when his new album will arrive.
