Flavor Flav Celebrates 2 Years of Sobriety: "I'm Very Proud of Myself"

Flavor Flav is celebrating two years of sobriety. The legendary artist went on Twitter to announce the major feat.

"Day by day. Year by year. Thx to God, family, friends, and all y’all," he said.

He also shared the happy news on Instagram.

“FLAVOR FLAV::: two years of sobriety y’all, I am very proud of myself, I just had to let everybody know it I’m proud of me,” the 63-year-old, captioned an Instagram clip of himself breaking down which habits he's done away with. “Today is Oct. 19. Guess what? I am two years, no cigarettes, two years, no alcohol and you know what? I feel real good y'all, just to let you know."

Flav's Hip-Hop peers offered their congratulations. Legendary producer Warren G wrote, "Keep up the good work homeboy congratulations" in the comments while DJ Premier also chimed in with congrats, "Proud of you Flav!!! Love You ICON!”

Flav has previously spoken about his crack cocaine addiction, and quit hard drugs 14 years ago, and was able to curb his drinking habits in 2020.
