A representative for Eminem has reported that his mother, Debbie Nelson has died at 69. Nelson passed in a Missouri hospital last night (12/2) according to TMZ. The cause of death has been announced as lung cancer.

Em shared details of the tumultuous relationship that he shared with his mother on songs such as "May Name Is" and "Cleaning Out My Closet", where he accused Nelson of drug abuse and neglect. In 1999 Nelson filed a $10 million Eminem for defamation. She also responded to Eminem in her 2008 book, My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem.
