Donald Glover Earns Golden Globe Nomination for 'Atlanta'

Donald Glover has earned another awards nomination for his work on his groundbreaking TV series, Atlanta. The multi-hyphenate was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series — Musical or Comedy.

The nomination — Glover's third — comes five years after Glover won the Golden Globe for Best Television Actor – Musical/Comedy Series. Atlanta's final season ended in November.

Other nominees include Angela Bassett for her role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - she received a nod in the Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture Category. Additionally, Rihanna received her first-ever Golden Globe nomination for Wakanda Forever as well in the Best Original Song – Motion Picture category for “Lift Me Up,” the soundtrack's single.

Hollywood favorite, Zendaya received her first Golden Globes nomination (Best Television Actress – Drama Series) for HBO's drama Euphoria, and Quinta Brunson was nominated for Best Television Actress – Musical/Comedy Series for Abbott Elementary. The breakout show also received a nomination for Best Musical/Comedy Series, and co-stars Janelle James, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Tyler Lee Williams were nominated in the Best Supporting Actress – Musical/Comedy Series and Best Supporting Actor – Television Series categories.

The 2023 Golden Globes will take place on January 23, with comedian Jerrod Carmichael hosting.
