DJ Muggs released his first new Soul Assassins album in 14 years in August of last year with Soul Assassins 3: Death Valley. The project featured collaborations with Ghostface Killah, Westside Gunn, Ice Cube, Freddie Gibbs, Method Man, Boldy James, Slick Rick, Devin The Dude, B-Real, Scarface, Roc Marciano, CeeLo Green, MC Ren, Evidence, Meyhem Lauren, Jay Worthy and Rome Streetz. 

DJ Muggs has now set a release date for the album's epic/psychedelic companion film, Death Valley, which was filmed on location in Death Valley.  Death Valley stars DJ Muggs and guests from the album. The film will be released on 2/9 and will stream for free at soulassassins.com.

Death Valley is directed by auteur Jason Goldwatch, who also helmed the award-winning documentary, One Big Trip, Pharrell Williams' Ice Cream Skate Team film, a 30-minute experimental film with The Neptunes (The 8th Planet), Kid Cudi’s The Journey Of Mr. Rager, Nas’ Netflix Special Illmatic Live, and has directed videos for Kanye West, Tyler The Creator, Nas, Pusha T, Madlib, Ludacris, The Alchemist, The Roots, Jay Electronica, Linkin Park and many others.
