Diddy believes that New York rappers are in last place and he stated it passionately to Funk Flex earlier this week (10/4).

"New York, we in last place, And I'm here to tell y'all, the shit comes to an end today," he said. "We're gonna get back to us. The way you hear the beat in your head, do you! The way you move and dress, do you. Don't be doin' them, God bless them!"

Diddy believes that loss of identity and following regional trends has put New York on the bottom. "New Yorkers are not supposed to be followin' nobody nowhere for nothin'," the mogul screamed.

"We come from a rich culture of artists, designers and creators," he explained. "New Yorkers were always leaders. We don't blend in b, we from New York, what the fuck? I'm gonna lead the way, I'm doin' me New York unapologetically."

Bronx MC Fat Joe said recently that he thinks that ego destroyed New York Hip-Hop. "The south, meaning Atlanta, saw how we fucked it up and they clicked up and said, 'We not gonna make that mistake.' We got Ruff Ryders, Roc A Fella, The Terror Squad, G-Unit and Dip Set. As soon as motherfuckers got hot and got money, everybody started feeling like they that person. Every week somebody was claiming to be king of New York. It fucks up your ability to work with each other, get money together and embrace each other."
