Veteran rapper/producer Daz Dillinger was recently a guest on Home Grown Media Group and talked about the biggest check he's ever received. He said it came courtesy of former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight, although not without a little bit of drama.

Daz detailed an incident in 1997, claiming that he forced Knight to cut him a huge check after threatening him with a screwdriver.

“Shit, I got a check for like $2.3 million from Suge Knight,” Daz said. “Delmar Arnaud, Suge Knight, Death Row Records, $2.5 million. I had to give Kurupt some too. I had to go in and strong arm Suge to get the money. I had everybody in they office hemmed up against the wall, n-gga. We on mushrooms. We in that muthafucka lit! N-gga in the corner laughing. I felt a little something, n-gga, I ran, ahhh! Had a big ass muthafukin’ diesel screwdriver. You know them big long diesel screwdrivers?”

He said the tension came when he attempted to get paid for his 1996 song with Nate Dogg, "Just Doggin" which was featured on the Sunset Park soundtrack.

“[Kurupt, Lil Malik Hershey Loc and I] went up there to get the money, ’cause they was playing with the money,” he continued. “I had everybody hemmed up and Suge walked in the office, and the way his eyes looked, it seemed like he was gon’ do something to me. So he put his arm around me, and I put my arm around him. Like, ‘N-gga, I’ma stick you.’ He was like, ‘Hold on Daz, hold on. Just go in the office.’ And I walked out of there with $2.5.”

In other Daz news, he just teamed up with the late Eazy-E's son, Lil Eazy-E to drop a collaborative album, The Legacy. Watch the interview below.
