Dame Dash Responds To Kanye's Grammy Ban: "He Don't Give A F*ck About the Grammys'"

Entertainment mogul and Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Dame Dash was approached by TMZ recently and asked his thoughts about Kanye West’s Grammy ban. It's been widely reported that West is barred from performing at this year's show. As usual, Dash spoke of self-empowerment and ownership in his reply.

“Kanye don’t give a fuck about the Grammys,” Dash said nonchalantly. “We make our own Grammys. We create our own, so we ain’t gotta worry about nobody else’s rules. I don’t get into politics bro, and I’m not trying to fit into somebody else’s system.”

As he walked masked through an airport with the TMZ reporter on his heels, Dash posed a question. “What’s the purpose of having money if you gotta worry about peoples rules?" Dash mused. "As long as you ain’t breakin’ no laws.”

He ended with the proclamation: “It’s not for them to judge who’s hot. It’s for us. They gotta respect our culture.”

Kanye is reportedly banned from performing at the Grammy awards due to his recent online harassment of his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her current love interest Pete Davidson.

He is however allowed to attend the ceremony and accept his award if he should win (he is nominated in five categories this year). Businessman and Rap-A-Lot Records  CEO J Prince is orchestrating a Grammy ban and proposing a concert with Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Drake and others that would air at the same time as the Grammy awards ceremony. J Prince also believes that the people have the power and he recently tweeted: “ I’ve been watching the Grammys control and dictate our culture to their benefit up close for the 30 years that I’ve been in the music business.” He continued, “All the artists, managers and executives do is complain, but never have the nuts to come together and do anything about it.”
