Never one to hold his tongue when it comes to dishing out praise for his Hip-Hop peers, Chuck D recently gave props to two of the genre's top lyricists, Black Thought and Eminem.

During an interview with Drink Champs, the Hip-Hop legend said they were two of the best. “Eminem and Black Thought… big ups to Black Thought, The Roots, and also Eminem. Cyborgs, man,” he said. “They’re cyborgs, but let me tell you this: we can also get caught up cause’ you know, you got future generations, and then you got people who ain’t gonna even get on the register who are so dope.”

He also praised Skyzoo for his lyricism, to which Skyzoo expressed his excitement and gratitude. "The good word on a Sunday from the pastor of hip-hop, the legendary rhyme animal Chuck D," Skyzoo wrote on Instagram. "An absolute icon. Honored x humbled x grateful to say the least. Thank you OG. The book I studied from as a young aspiring writer had chapters dedicated to your penmanship in it. I learned from you 1,000%. Salute OG."

Chuck has been busy as of late. He recently launched a "culture media" app called Bring The Noise, named after the popular Public Enemy song of the same name.

"It's a cultural media app, and I feel that cultural media is greater than social media," he explained in an interview with Chris Cuomo. "With social media, everybody is in the sandbox. Not saying that people can't do or say whatever [they please], but the stripper pole is right next to the sandbox it's just too much." Chuck says that culture media focuses on music craft and art, and is more engaging to those 35 and older."
