During his set at the Friends & Lovers Festival in Las Vegas which took place over the weekend, Busta Rhymes shared a few quick thoughts about his peers and their stage prowess.

Busta, who performed on the Bling Stage on Saturday, said when it comes to performing, he and his peers are “cut from a different cloth that they don’t manufacture anymore.”

“We come from a time where there was no additives, no preservatives, no unnecessary mixing, and diluting, and tampering with the holy, sacred, and pure,” he said to the crowd in a video captured by HipHopDX, before dropping his verse from Chris Brown's "Look At Me Now." “We [are] the holy, sacred and pure... We don't sing over our vocals and shit."

Of course, Busta, who performed at last year's Rock The Bells Festival, is well known for his dynamic stage presence. Big Daddy Kane recently explained why he loves Busta so much, praising his flow specifically. “Let me explain something to you, real talk, real quick. Hands down, greatest flow in Hip-Hop,” Kane said of his friend and collaborator. “And anybody that wants to dispute me, this is what I want you to do — listen to the original version of ‘Turn It Up’ from this man. The original version with the Al Green sample.”

Busta Rhymes is slated to appear at Mary J. Blige's Strength of a Woman Festival in May and The Roots Picnic in June. He'll also join 50 Cent on his upcoming tour, The Final Lap.
