If you were wondering where Benny The Butcher lands on the debate between the Damson Idris-led FX drama Snowfall and the 50 Cent-created Power, the Griselda rapper has cleared it up — Snowfall lands on top.

“Snowfall is better... but, they’re both great shows," he said on Instagram Live on April 16. "I like to see Michael Rainey — I like watching his ascension. He’s fire. He’s getting better and better at his shit. But for some reason, I’m just more drawn to Snowfall.”

Snowfall was launched in 2017, created by the late acclaimed director, John Singleton. It stars Idris as "Franklin" a once innocent kid turned ambitious, perpetually scowling drug dealer gone all the way bad, as he navigates the burgeoning crack era in L.A., which was sparked by the CIA, and for the show's purposes, helmed by a hyper-ambitious CIA agent whose already broken moral compass goes completely haywire overtime. The show's nuanced depiction of the crack epidemic, the CIA's involvement, and how it affects communities, has made it a favorite among fans, though it's disappointedly been shut out of the Emmys and Golden Globes during its five-year run.

This is Snowfall's final season, and it's been full of surprises, picking up the pace and reestablishing itself as premiere television after a sluggish couple of seasons. The final episode airs on April 19.

As for Power, it's obviously been a hit for 50 Cent, with successful spinoffs. The series also paved the way for his latest hit show, BMF. In addition, 50's working on a new 8 Mile series, based on the film which was loosely based on Eminem's life. He also recently inked a non-exclusive multi-project broadcast direct deal with Fox Entertainment. In that deal, he'll “develop scripted dramas, live-action comedies, and animated series” in partnership with his G-Unit Film & Television production company.
