A new entertainment technology company called Intercept Music has launched a digital distribution platform on Tuesday (April 12), in partnership with the legendary Wu-Tang wordsmith, Method Man.

Intercept was founded by music and technology industry veterans in hopes to empower independent music labels and artists, stating they helped “over 100 Grammys and hundreds of notable industry awards.” 

Intercept Music is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sanwire Corporation, a company focused on advanced technologies for the entertainment industry. The company says that will be focusing exclusively on the independent music market.

Intercept Music says that its platform gives independent artists and their labels access to hundreds of digital stores and major streaming services, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Pandora, and YouTube Music.

By forging a powerful partnership, Intercept Music and Method Man put emphasis on the value and importance of artistic emancipation in today’s creator economy. 

The launch celebrates Intercept Music’s clarion call with a campaign entitled “Independence Empowered,” featuring Method Man as captured by director Dale May.

The Wu-Tang veteran has been quite busy in the tech world lately. Recently, Method Man, released the second installment of his NFT comic book series, MEFaverse. MEFaverse, a graphic novel within the metaverse — a network of 3D virtual worlds focused on social connection — aims to provide a safe haven for anyone interested in Hip Hop, comic books, skateboarding, gaming, Web 3.0, and art.
