Rick Ross, Rakim, Summer Walker and More Shine at the 2022 Roots Picnic

The 2022 Roots Picnic had no shortage of major star power. After going virtual-only for two years because of the pandemic, the Picnic returned in full force. The festival took place at the Mann Center in Fairmount Park, and the culture was represented.

According to reports, more than 60,000 tickets were sold for the highly anticipated event. organizers said. With headliners like Mary J. Blige and R&B stars like Tierra Whack and Jazmine Sullivan as well as some of Hip-Hop's biggest names, like Rick Ross and Chief Keef, the Roots Picnic was one of the highlights thus far in an exciting festival season.
