Yo-Yo Celebrates Salt-N-Pepa's Hollywood Star: "Such A Happy Day"

Legendary Hip-Hop group Salt-N-Pepa received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Nov. 4, in a celebratory event that had many of the Hip-Hop legends in attendance in a partying mood.

At the after party for the ceremony, Yo-Yo was especially excited about the iconic duo's accomplishment, dancing with Salt before wrapping her in a long hug.

Roxanne Shanté, who also spoke during the ceremony, interviewed Salt-N-Pepa in an exclusive, entertaining interview for ROCK THE BELLS.

"Ladies, listen, it was an honor for me to be chosen," Roxanne who also was a guest speaker at the ceremony. "It was an honor for me to get up there. You know, we have so many Hip Hop sisters. And for you guys to choose me. I just felt really special."

Incredibly influential, Salt-N-Pepa was the first female rap act (solo or group) to have a multi-platinum selling album with their 1993 release, Very Necessary. The album marked another level of accomplishment for the group, selling over seven million copies worldwide (five in the U.S.), and peaking at #4 on the Billboard 200.
