Xzibit to Young Rappers: "Leave It Better Than the Way You Found It"

Xzibit shared a few words of wisdom with TMZ while discussing his work with the Humanity Heroes Foundation.

"Leave it better than you found it and take care of each other," he said. "Love each other man, life is short; don't make it shorter."

Xzibit debuted on 1995's Coast II Coast by The Alkaholiks, and his Loud Records full-length album At The Speed of Life was released the next year. With seven solo albums and a six-season stint as the host of MTV's Pimp My Ride behind him, Xzibit is preparing to release his final solo album.

"I'm gonna still do music, it's just about me putting together a body of work that I have to go tour," he explained.

Concerning his work with the Humanity Heroes Foundation, he says that it's a small drop in the bucket against what needs to be done.

"I don't judge my humanity by success," he said. "There's a lot of people who are hurting right now and a lot of people who go without. We're doing our part here with Humanity Heroes putting together these backpacks. This is my second year doing it, we did 7000 last year, and now we're doing 10,000 as the need keeps growing. It's a great organization to be partnered with and the cannabis community is out here doing our part. It's a small drop in the bucket, but we do what we can."

In addition to his philanthropic work and his upcoming album, Xzibit has ventured into the world of cannabis. His Nepalm brand launched in 2020 at the start of the pandemic. "I love building businesses and Nepalm is my second iteration of cannabis," he said. "We have a lot of good will in the community and it's been great."
