Tobe Nwigwe and Cee-Lo Green Connect Over "Catfish Blackened W/ Grits"

Tobe Nwigwe and Cee-Lo Green teamed up for the visual to their collaboration, "Catfish Blackened W/ Grits," which appears on Tobe's most recent release, moMINTs, which also features Pharrell, 2 Chainz, Royce Da 5'9, Earthgang and more.

As expected, given the gorgeous detail in Tobe's previous work, the video, directed by Nate Edwards and Tobe himself, plays like moving art, with clean, monotone colors, as the Houston native sings, "Yeah, look at my Black skin (It's rich)/All of my Black friends (Legit)/All of our Black trends is (Lit)" on the hook.

Cee-Lo posts up in a mini-van on chrome, as he rapidly raps his verse, connecting the dots visually and musically between Tobe's perceptive, avant-garde southern stylings and the grounded, mud-soaked intellectualism Goodie MOB laid out in the mid-90s.

In addition to dropping the new video, Tobe can also be seen co-starring in the new Netflix comedy-drama, Mo, which takes place in Houston.
