It seems rather appropriate that Talib Kweli just dropped the official music video for the Madlib-produced "Longevity" in the wake of the discussion of a certain Hip-Hop "DJ" calling the forefathers of Hip-Hop "dusty." While Kweli certainly emerged decades after the period in question, he has thoroughly contributed to the culture as one of the most talented lyricists in recent memory.

The Chino-Chase directed video begins with a title card exploring the three definitions of the word longevity, and follows both archival and contemporary footage of Kweli as he explores how he remains a relevant force to this day.

While it's unclear if this is a one-off, or if Kweli and Madlib are cooking up a full-length project together, there's no denying that they have a strong collaborative foundation.
