Grab a spoon and some almond milk, Snoop Loopz, (seriously, could the name be any better?) is on the way to your local grocery store through Snoop Dogg's Broadus Foods business.
Master P, who began a working relationship with Snoop when he signed with No Limit after departing Death Row back in 1998 (Snoop recently purchased and relaunched Death Row), shared the announcement on Instagram. P is a collaborator on the product and encouraged Snoop to get into the cereal game following the release of his Master Crunch, Mashed reports.
"It's great to have diversity on the shelves," Master P said on the Master Crunch website. "The more we make the more we give back to the community. It's all about building economic empowerment at home, in the communities, where we live."
Broadus Foods already includes Mama Snoop’s breakfast products, including cereal, oatmeal, grits, pancake mix and syrup. The company has paired with various charitable organizations to donate a portion of all items purchased, including Door of Hope, a Christian non-profit that aids homeless families. Snoop tapped into the food game a while ago, even releasing a cookbook with a forward by Martha Stewart, From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Tha Boss Dogg's Kitchen. He's also had his own line of wine with 19 Crimes, a plant-based donut sandwich with Dunkin', and he was an early investor in Beyond Meat.
No word yet on when Snoop Loopz will arrive.
