Former Bad Boy signee and politician Shyne has returned to the United States in hopes to strengthen the relationship between the United States and Belize.
In 1999, a year before dropping his debut album through Bad Boy records, Shyne was arrested and charged with attempted murder, assault, and reckless endangerment after an altercation and shooting at a New York City nightclub. The rapper was sentenced to 10 years in prison, eventually being released in 2009. The Belizean native was then deported to his home country due to being a non-citizen felon.
Shyne, now known as Moses Barrow, has become a successful politician in his home country of Belize, serving as a member of the countries House of Representatives. The rapper-turned politician returned to the states to meet with US senators and congressmen to establish new relationships between Belize and the US.
