Legendary audio software company Serato is celebrating 25 years of revolutionizing the art of DJing with its premier suite of DJ and music production software. Serato was founded by Steve West and AJ Bertenshaw, New Zealand natives who launched their first product, Pitch ‘n Time, in 1999. The brand has become synonymous with some of Hip-Hop's biggest names.

Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Drake, A$AP Rocky and more have name dropped Serato in their lyrics, and artists such as Questlove, Erykah Badu, Metro Boomin, A-Trak, DJ Snake and DJ Jazzy Jeff utilize the software. In honor of this 25th anniversary milestone, Serato is releasing a special limited-edition reissue of the original Serato Scratch Live Control Vinyl, which completely changed the game for DJs and modernized the artform following its original 2004 inception.

Only 1,500 units of the reissue vinyl will be available to purchase in select stores globally for $49 USD starting tomorrow (10/1) at 9am NZT. The “Serato Scratch Live Control Vinyl - 25th Anniversary Edition” features a pair of 12” 140g control discs, encased in a commemorative 25th-anniversary jacket. The reissue will consist of five classic colors which include black, transparent red, transparent blue, orange, and gray marble. To add to the excitement, the colorway purchasers receive will remain a surprise until they unwrap the package.
