The Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA has revealed a March 4th release date for his DJ Scratch-produced album Saturday Afternoon Kung Fu Theatre. Today (2/4), RZA shared the video for the title track, where RZA goes into battle with his Bobby Digital alter ego.

“Lyrically the Hip Hop part of me had a chance to re-emerge during quarantine," RZA explained. "Giving Scratch the reigns as producer and me taking up the reigns as M.C. frees me up creatively, and allows me to play more with lyrical flows because I don’t have to be focused on everything. Scratch delivered tracks that resonated and brought me back to a sound that I was missing. For me it was really natural to flow to these songs.”

36 Chambers product manager Justice Diggs told Pitchfork: “The original concept and name of the forthcoming Saturday Afternoon Kung Fu Theatre album was originally named RZA vs Bobby Digital. While the albums central theme remains a battle between RZA and his alter ego Bobby Digital, given the project unites two of NYC’s Hip-Hop icons for their first official collaboration, we felt that the new title gives D.J. Scratch the props that he deserves as a producer."
