Rock The Bells and the James Beard Foundation, a nonprofit supporting America’s food culture, have partnered to search for and select a food vendor to join the food court at the Rock The Bells Festival taking place on August 5th at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, NY.

Last year, the food court — Hip-Hop's first-ever food court experience — was curated by Rock The Bells and Hip-Hop legend Bun B, and was a highlight of the festival. The food court's star-studded lineup included Bun B’s Trill Burgers, Nas' Sweet Chick, Mia X’s Team Whip Them Pots, Jadakiss and Styles P's Juices for Life, E-40’s Goon with the Spoon, and Ghostface Killah’s Killah Koffee.

Now, Rock The Bells and The James Beard Foundation are on a quest to find new culinary talent ready to serve a diverse crowd of Hip-Hop lovers and foodies at the 2023 Rock The Bells Festival.

Winners will receive a complimentary 1-year membership to JBF patron program. The deadline to apply for a chance to become a vendor at the food court is July 9 at 11:59 pm ET.

Who should apply?

Are you a Hip-Hop head, creative, artist, dancer, DJ or inspired by the culture? Are you a culinary pioneer with a restaurant, pop-up, cuisine or product that has captivated the community and would appeal to thousands of Rock The Bells Festival attendees?

What to Expect:

-Vendors would need to provide hot and cold holding equipment as well as cooking equipment

-Vendor would be able to rent equipment from Levy

-Basic foot print is an approx. 10 x 10’ location or slightly larger depending on placement

-Vendor would need to bring and prepare enough food for an 11 hour show

-All labor needed to execute concept

-Vendor would need to bring all smallwares and service utensils necessary for execution of their menu

-Insurance required

-Average Menu Price: Entrées are $9-12 & Sides are $5-8

Items Provided:

-POS for each location

-Collection and payment of sales tax and CC fees

-Basic paper goods – gloves, hand towels, sanitizer etc

-Trash removal

-Hand sink

-Menus and signage
