Rapsody is back with a new track, "Asteroids," featuring super producer Hit-Boy.
Rap recently teased that she had new music on the way, and her return is nothing short of excellent, as she reminds folks of exactly why she's considered an elite MC.
“First name Marlanna, last name Evans / Underappreciated, but I’m still the most respected,” she raps. “My insecurity is the fear of being rejected / When you this raw they listen with an erection / Niggas pull the Drake before they rap about affection / There I go, hard to rap without a message.”
Although this is her first official release since 2019's critically-acclaimed album Eve, Rapsody has appeared on a number of singles since that project, including “12 Problems," “Iconic," “Dust To Diamonds," and collaborations with Robin Thicke and Reuben Vincent. She also teamed up with Remy Ma and DJ Premier on "Remy Rap" and penned the title track for Sanaa Lathan's directorial debut, On The Come Up. Earlier this year, she partnered with KIRBY for “Eve Gene."
