Rapper Big Pooh, one-half of the acclaimed rap group Little Brother, has a new album on the way, To Dream in Color. The Virginia native shared a snippet of his latest single "Changing Again," produced by The Nukez (Lute, BJ The Chicago Kid, Eric Bellinger) and Westtopher on Twitter yesterday (June 27).

"I call back home and all I hear is when you gonna finish school?/It broke her heart but I had to tell her that school was through..." he reminicises on the track, which arrives on July 5.

The song follows the lead single, “LS400” produced by D.R.U.G.S. Beats and The Mercenaries, which was released in May. Pooh says his forthcoming album, which features production work from DK The Punisher (Justin Bieber, Sir), D.R.U.G.S. Beats (Dr. Dre, 50 Cent), and Nottz (Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes) among others, took an unexpected turn during the writing process.

"When I started working on my new album To Dream In Color, I thought it was going to be a story about my journey in the music industry," he tells Rock the Bells. "What I ended up writing was the story of my maturation as an adult."

Pooh's last release with Little Brother was 2019's stellar, May the Lord Watch. A documentary of the same name, directed by Holland Randolph Gallagher, is slated to be released in 2023.
