Nick Cannon Shares One of the Last Photos of His Son

Nick Cannon shared one of the last pics of his late son, Zen. Cannon dedicated his "Pic of the Day" segment during the Wednesday taping "The Nick Cannon Show" to his youngest son and the baby's mother, Alyssa Scott. Cannon shared a shot of the two while on the beach together. In the picture, Scott can be seen gently cradling her 5-month-old son as he's wrapped in a light blue blanket while she stares at him sleeping.

The TV host's youngest child died Sunday, December 5, after battling brain cancer. Cannon revealed the news on his Tuesday show. The 41-year-old dedicated Tuesday's show to his "beautiful son Zen." Cannon shares Zen with model Alyssa Scott.

"Over the weekend I lost my youngest son to a condition called hydrocephalus that was pretty much a malignant, invasive midline brain tumor, brain cancer," Cannon said. "It's tough."

"Over the weekend I lost my youngest son to a condition called hydrocephalus that was pretty much a malignant, invasive midline brain tumor, brain cancer," Cannon said. "It's tough."

According to Mayo Clinic, Hydrocephalus is the "buildup of fluid in the cavities (ventricles) deep within the brain." The excess fluid puts pressure on the brain and can "damage brain tissues and cause a range of brain function problems."

On Wednesday, Cannon shared the photo and talked about what it means to him.

"This is a special one. This is my Pic of the Day today, a picture that I actually had the opportunity to take on Sunday," Cannon told his audience. "It's a beautiful photo of my beautiful son and his beautiful mother, Alyssa Scott, and it's a real moment."
