Nas has put to rest the old adage that Hip-Hop is exclusively a young performer's thing. The Illmatic MC has dropped five albums in the last three years with producer Hit-Boy. Three volumes of Kings Disease and two installments of Magic have not only kept Nas busy, but dispelled the notion that older MCs should hang up the mic.

Those five releases have also solidified Hit-Boy as a prolific producer and many fans see a real chemistry in the tandem. According to AllHipHop, Nas is working on new music and has secured a new team of producers for his upcoming project.

"Sources have heard this new music and say it is amazing," the report says. This news comes after online chatter that fans would like to hear Nas with different production. Nas recently released the video for "Black Magic" from his latest Hit-Boy collaboration Magic 2.

Nas' five year run with Hit-Boy is unprecedented in Hip-Hop. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Nas detailed the incredible run he's been on with Hit-Boy for the past few years.

"I’m in one of these creative growth spurts," he said. "It’s something that I'm really excited about and it surprises me – but I'm not too, too surprised because I was also waiting for the day that I felt like this again, and I knew it would come."

After receiving 13 nominations, Nas' 12th studio album, 2020's King's Disease, won him his first Grammy for Best Rap Album at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.
