Maino Gives Fat Joe His Flowers: "He's Definitely In My Top 5"

Maino and Jim Jones were recent guests on All The Smoke with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson, where Maino revealed his admiration for Fat Joe.

"It's something about him that never dies and I'm inspired by that," the "Hi Hater" rapper explained, as Jim Jones agreed in the background. "He's lasted eras. He's been around longer than anybody and he is still just as potent, popular, and relevant as he was in the 90s. He's definitely in my top 5."

Fat Joe responed to an IG clip of the praise posted by Hip Hop Wolf: "One time for THE REAL ONES."

Fat Joe has been busy recently. In addition to hosting the BET Hip-Hop Awards later this month, he is also releasing his memoir titled The Book of Jose.

“The Book of Jose" is more than just a book about my career,” he said. “It explores the darkest moments of my life — brushes with death, being locked up, losing friends, and dealing with depression — that shaped me as a man.

In a recent exclusive sit-down with Rock The Bells, Joe explained that he is taking a break from music. "As a rapper you'll see me in shows, but I don't think I'm making music no time soon. I'm focused on media and TV and opening businesses and investing."
