Black Thought continues his run of making exceptional music outside of The Roots with his latest collaboration -- this one with Leon Michels’ soul project, El Michels Affair.

They have plans to drop a collaborative project this April, Glorious Game, and shared the first single from the effort, the sample-heavy "Grateful."

Black Thought and Michels' project has been years in the making— they met in the early 2000s but began working together in recent years. Their upcoming project, Glorious Game follows Black Thought's most recent team up with acclaimed producer Danger Mouse on last year's stellar Cheat Codes.

As for The Roots, they have plans to release a project sometime soon, according to Questlove.

Glorious Game is due out April 14 on Big Crown Records.
