Kendrick Lamar fans are speculating the release of his long-awaited fifth studio album on the nine-year anniversary of his timeless sophomore album good kid, m.A.A.d city.
Hip-hop Twitter has been all abuzz after some fans were convinced that the Compton emcee was edging closer to releasing his highly anticipated forthcoming album. On October Wednesday (20), six K. Dot leaks surfaced the internet, causing quite the excitement from hip-hop Twitter.
Meanwhile, as they anticipate the release of the emcee’s last project with the label TDE, fans have been keeping a close eye on the rapper’s streaming service profiles. When Kendrick changed his Spotify profile picture, fans’ anticipation for new Kendrick heightened that much more.
In August, the rapper released a message about his next project, revealing that it would be his last with TDE.
"As I produce my final TDE album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years," said the award-winning emcee at the time. "The Struggles. The Success. And most importantly, the Brotherhood. May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators. As I continue to pursue my life’s calling. There’s beauty in completion. And always faith in the unknown."
