Add another big accomplishment to Kendrick Lamar's long list – he's the first artist ever to have four consecutive albums nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammys with the nomination of his latest acclaimed work, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, per Insider.

Kendrick was first nominated for the award back in 2012 for his major label debut album, the new age classic Good Kid, MAAD City. He was nominated again for Album of the Year for his follow-up, landmark album, To Pimp A Butterfly in 2015. Then DAMN. rolled around in 2017, landing yet another nomination in the category, not to mention the Pulitzer Prize for Music, the first Hip-Hop album to do so.

Kendrick is now tied with Kanye West as the rapper with the most Album Of The Year nominations (Kanye’s were non-consecutive). Despite all of the history-making nominations, Kendrick has yet to win in that category, though he does have 14 wins and a total of 39 nominations. This year, he has the second most nominations behind Beyoncé who has nine for her latest album, Renaissance (he has eight).
