Black Thought and Danger Mouse released a new single on Wednesday (6/8) titled “Because” from their debut collaborative project called Cheat Codes. “Because” is the second single from the upcoming album, with last months “No Gold Teeth” being the lead single. Joey Bada$$ said in a statement: “I’ve always been a big fan of Black Thought and Danger Mouse. I think that Black Thought is one of the greatest rappers ever, so when they asked me to get on this record it was a no brainer, plus the record is fire!”

The "Let It Breathe" rapper continued: "I still remember the first time I heard "You Got Me", the video was shot on my great grandmothers block and I was actually there that day when I was a child. It changed the way that I look at music."

"Being able to collaborate with one of the greatest lyricists of all time is an honor and it do it in unison with Danger Mouse is something im just really proud to be a part of", said Russ who is also appears on "Because" with Dylan Cartlidge. Cheat Codes which has an expected release date of August 12th is Danger Mouse’s first full length album since his 2005 album with MF DOOM, DangerDoom. The slow tempo, soulful "Because" is another banger from what sounds like it will be a great album. Check it out below.
