The numbers are in and Jay-Z now tops the list of Hip-Hop's wealthiest artists. According to a list compiled by Forbes' Zack O'Malley Greenburg, Jay has reclaimed the top spot on the list with a personal record of $1.5 billion.
Exactly what's responsible for Jay's massive fortune? His empire is diverse— he has investments in robot pizza companies, records, real estate, spirits and more. Specifically, he has his Armand de Brignac champagne and Roc Nation entertainment company, and stakes in startups like Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty lingerie line.
“Reports of an impending sale of his half of D’Ussé cognac, especially in the wake of Jay-Z’s other recent cash-outs, make me wonder if he’s not gearing up for a major acquisition. NFL team, anyone?” Greenburg wrote.
Next up on the list is Diddy, who checks in with a $1 billion fortune courtesy of his "Cîroc partnership with Diageo and takes in DeLeón tequila Revolt, along with his music catalog, startup investments and other assets," per Variety.
Despite the $2 billion loss he reportedly suffered last week, Ye still is worth around $500 million thanks to his 5% stake in his ex-wife Kim Kardashian's shapewear line, while Dr. Dre has amassed a $400 million fortune.
