For over two decades, Ice-T has portrayed Odafin Tutuola on NBC's hit drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He was supposed to originally appear on the show for only a couple of episodes, but he impressed showrunners so much that he was cast as a regular on the immensely popular series.

Ice-T has appeared in over 500 episodes of the show, making him the second longest-serving cast member behind Mariska Hargitay, who portrays Captain Olivia Benson. But comments made by the actor and rapper earlier this year have some viewers wondering about the future of Ice-T's character on the show.

"If I go, I want to go in a blaze of glory," he said in a recent interview with Mashed. "Blow me up in a car. I want to be murdered!"

He said further that if the show wraps and his character is still alive, he will find himself on one of show creator, Dick Wolf's, other series. "In The Wolf universe Law & Order could end, and I could be climbing a ladder in Chicago Fire, I could be over on Organized Crime, so maybe I don't want to die. I'm trying to stay with the show until they decide it's over," he said.
