Eminem hasn't ever shied away from being transparent about his addiction struggles and his mental health battles, something he says has been therapeutic for him over the years.
During a call-in to Sway Calloway’s Sway in the Morning show this week on his Sirius XM Shade 45 channel, the Detroit rapper explained how the writing process, and working things out lyrically is one of the best things about Hip-Hop.
“I think that’s one of the great things about rap music is that you could put so much of your life in it,” he said, before a pause. “It’s therapeutic, and that’s how it’s always been for me.”
Em also took time to show some love to the newest release from his Shady Records label, Westside Boogie's More Black Superheroes, which dropped last week.
"Watching him just keep getting better and better and better is incredible," he said. "And he’s got so much of his life weaved in this album. Like, I think that it’s therapeutic."
Em also recently dropped new music, a Dr. Dre-produced collaboration with Cee-Lo, "The King & I," which is featured on the soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming Elvis biopic.
