Eminem surprised the crowd midway through 50 Cent's Final Lap Tour stop in Detroit, hopping on stage to perform his verse on 50’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’, “Patiently Waiting” as well as their 2009 hit, “Crack a Bottle.”
50 Cent stopped at Detroit's Pine Knob Music Theatre on Sunday night (September 17), and the crowd was eager to show hometown love to Em when he hit the stage. Eminem let everyone know that his history and friendship with 50 Cent runs deep.
“Detroit, make some noise for one of the best friends that I’ve ever known, 50 Cent!” he said. “And also, make some noise forHip Hop’s 50th birthday, y’all … Detroit, I love y’all, man.”
50 shared the moment on social media. “Bro when I do anything with EM people just go crazy they know he really my boy,” he captioned his post. “I love him till death!”
50 is currently celebrating the 20 year anniversary of his massive debut, Get Rich or Die Tryin', and he also recently shared some advice on Instagram about making a hit.
"Take your time make it a classic then it won’t go away. #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi,” 50 wrote alongside a photo of plaque for "In Da Club."
The plaque celebrated the classic song's landmark achievement — hitting 1 billion streams on Spotify.
