'Drink Champs' Partners with Warner Music Group in New Distribution Deal

The extremely popular Drink Champs podcast has inked a new deal with Warner Music Group (WMG). Interval Presents, Warner's in-house podcast network, has obtained exclusive rights to the audio version of the podcast on all major platforms.

Launched in 2015, Drink Champs quickly gained popularity due to its loose interview style that includes the consumption of various high-end brands of alcohol and the liberal use of marijuana. The show's laid-back storytelling format combined with A-list guests such as Nas, LL COOL J, Alicia Keys, and Patti Labelle quickly made the show one of the most popular urban podcasts. Interval Presents also distributes music journalists Elliot Wilson and Brian "B.Dot" Miller's Rap Radar podcast. Jason Derulo and Lupita Nyongo are also reportedly set to join the Interval roster.

“I’m feeling good about partnering with Interval Presents and joining the all-star team they’ve got,” said show host and Queens native N.O.R.E “We’re ready to take things to the next level for us and the culture at large! Let’s go!”

Drink Champs' co-host DJ EFN added, “We were impressed with the network’s dedication to the culture and the support we’ve received to expand our show to reach new heights allowing us to further pioneer and break barriers in the space."

Allan Coye, Interval's General manager and WMG's Senior Vice President of Digital Strategy and Business Development expressed the organization's excitement to partner with Drink Champs. "They’ve built an incredible platform that we’ve admired from afar," he said in a statement. "Now we’re incredibly excited to welcome them to Interval Presents. Our collaboration will focus on further amplifying N.O.R.E. and EFN’s unique and unfiltered approach to storytelling and bringing the show to new podcast listeners.”

The first episode under the new distribution deal will air on January 27.
