Dr. Dre Drops Six New Songs On "Grand Theft Auto Online"

Dr. Dre’s highly anticipated album is on the way. The West Coast hip-hop legend has released six new singles with collaborators old and new, including features from Anderson .Paak, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Rick Ross, Nipsey Hussle, Rick Ross, and more. The singles are exclusive to Grand Theft Auto Online’s new expansion storyline,  The Contract which features the six new Dr. Dre singles.

Dr. Dre appears in GTA Online: The Contract as a non-playable character. GTA players will be able to hear Dre’s new tracks on DJ Pooh’s West Coast Classics radio station. Tracks include “Gospel” with Eminem, “Diamond Mind” with Nipsey Hussle and Ty Dolla $ign, and “ETA” with Snoop Dogg and Anderson .Paak.

“We’ve wanted to do something with Dre for a while,” says Rob Nelson, the co-studio head of Rockstar North. “When he’s not releasing music that regularly, it’s a pretty special thing to be able to get music from him, never mind exclusive music. Once we started talking, he started firing demos over — ‘Check this out, check this out, I did this with so-and-so.’ That was a pretty surreal experience.”

Dre is set to headline the 2022 Superbowl Halftime Show with collaborators Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, and Mary J. Blige.

Stay tuned for more Dr. Dre updates and other hip-hop news.
