"With celebrity-endorsed sneakers coming out every weekend, we thought Donald was a good collaborator for New Balance to take a more considered approach. No loud colors or branding, just classic, easy-to-wear colorways of a new silhouette that fit Donald's style," Joe Grondin, Business Unit Manager, Global Communications and Energy Projects at New Balance said in a press release. New Balance has been expanding its reach as of late, also creating partnerships with rapper Jack Harlow and NBA star Kawhi Leonard.
Glover, who's no newbie to the sneaker world and previously worked with Adidas before the partnership ended in 2020, made sure the RC30 reflects his personal style. The retro-inspired sneaker embodies a 1970s trainer, with a contemporary twist. It's available in “Golden Hour” and “Sea Salt” colorways (mustard and white), and you can grab them at New Balance now for $120 or at select retailers on July 18.
