DJ Premier and Snoop Dogg have linked up for "Can You Dig That?", a slow tempo, synth driven track with Preemo's signature boom bap drum programming, and scratches. Snoop's laid back cadence perfectly matches Premiers sonic bed as he spits "Dice games and dominoes/Presidential Obama flows/Rivers drip wit' tadpoles/Night clubs wit' bad hoes".

Premier and Snoop have worked together a few times previously, with Snoop appearing on Gang Starr’s The Ownerz, for "In This Life". Premier also produced two songs on Snoop’s Paid Tha Cost To Be Da Boss - "The One And Only", and "Batman & Robin". Premier also produced "Unfucwitable" on Doggystyle All-Stars Volume 1.

Their new single, “Can U Dig That?” is their first collaboration under DJ Premier and Ian Schwartzman’s independent imprint TTT. “My manager and I launched our label TTT (To The Top), and we decided to call Snoop as one of my first album collaborations," Premier explained. 

"Snoop recorded a demo of the song, and it went into my vaults unfinished. Fast forward, our initial plan for an album changed, and we decided to just release singles. Snoop updated his lyrics and now it’s ready for our audience to ride out to—'Can U Dig That?'”
