Many rap artists have been trying their hand with NFTs as the blockchain grows in popularity and presence in the hip-hop world. Rappers like Eminem, Benny The Butcher, Lupe Fiasco and, Jay-Z have all found success selling their own album-inspired NFT on the blockchain. Back in September, Snoop Dogg revealed he was behind the popular NFT Twitter account @CozomoMedic, and was telling “tales & insights from the wild world of NFTs." Since then, the LBC rapper partnered with Etherum-based Sand Box for a collection of NFTs inspired by his new album, The Algorithm.
On Monday (November 22), Death Row Records announced 7 new Doggystyle-inspired NFTs in honor of the album’s 28th anniversary. In a press release, Death Row announced they collaborated with Crypto.com for a new NFT collection celebrating Snoop’s debut studio album. The seven-token collection will be available on Tuesday (November 23) on Crypto.com/NFT and will be accompanied by a double-vinyl reissue of the 1993 record.
