As the sun beamed down on Forest Hills Stadium, the Cold Crush Brothers delivered an electric performance at the sold out 2023 Rock The Bells Festival.

Donning all white, the rap legends who were featured in 1982's seminole film, Wild Style, reminded fans why they're considered one of the most pivotal rap groups of all time, who helped pave the way for Hip-Hop's mainstream exposure.

"Hip-Hop was six years old before the first rap record came out," Grandmaster Caz, who also hosts Rock The Radio's That's The Joint!" with MC Sha-Rock, told the crowd, explaining that in rap's early days, their songs were played during jams in the park.

As they closed the show, the offered a sing-songy reminder to MCs — if you're not writing your own rhymes, don't step to the mic because decades after their pivotal debut, the Cold Crush Brothers are still crushing the competition.
