On a recent episode of the Diverse Mentality podcast, Bun B shared his thoughts about L.A. and New York and how they celebrate old school Hip-Hop icons.
"Houston is really different," he said. "I go all over the country and nobody celebrates their old school artists like Houston. If you go to L.A. they may celebrate Snoop and Cube, but Battlecat and those dudes don't get the respect they deserve."
Bun went on to say that New York is celebrating its legends this year only, due to Hip-Hop's 50th anniversary. "Big Daddy Kane and them are gettin all this love now because of the 50th anniversary," he said. "They ain't showin' up for Rakim and them all the time."
