On Thursday (7/7) Black Thought and Danger Mouse released the official video for "Because" featuring Joey Bada$$, Russ and Dylan Cartlidge. It's the second single from their upcoming collaborative album Cheat Codes. The video centers around an NYC backdrop with Black Thought projected larger than life on the buildings that resemble an empty Times Square.

Joey Bada$$ doesn't appear in the video, but he said he's always been a big fan of Black Thought and Danger Mouse. "I think that Black Thought is one of the greatest rappers ever," he said, "so when they asked me to get on this record it was a no-brainer. Plus the record is fire!”

Russ was also excited to be working with the acclaimed lyricist. "Being able to collaborate with one of the greatest lyricists of all time is an honor, and to do it in unison with Danger Mouse is something I'm just really proud to be a part of," said Russ.

Cheat Codes, which has an expected release date of August 12, is Danger Mouse's first full-length project since 2005's DangerDoom. Peep the video above.
